Een rustig dagje met visite, het is tenslotte heel warm én eerste Paasdag.
Yvonne en Chris hebben met hun zoon en schoondochter toch een lange rit gemaakt voor een puppyknuffel!
Djazzmin zoogt nog af en toe tussendoor maar het wordt een heel stuk minder.
Ondertussen krijgen de pups ook 3x daags brokken én 's avonds de yoghurt (met een scheutje slagroom...)
A quite day with a few visitors, it's Easter sunday ánd very hot.
Yvonne and Chris had a very long and hot cardrive with their son and daughter in law for a puppycuddle!
Djazzmin gives the puppy's now and then some milk but it is getting less.
Meanwhile the puppy's eat three times a day dogfood ánd in the evening yoghurt (with a little bit of double cream...)

Weer een warme dag en de pups zijn meteen na het ontbijt heerlijk naar buiten gegaan.
Ze worden veel vertroeteld, Sophie heeft poepjes geruimd, Niels is mee gaan wandelen en Sam lust graag paaseieren!
Saskia is ook weer geweest en dit formaat puppy kan ze beter vasthouden.
Antoher hot day and after breakfast the puppy's went again outside in the garden.
We pamper the puppy's a lot , Sophie cleaned the poo, Niels went on a dogwalk with Coen and Sam likes eastereggs!
Saskia was here too and this size of puppy is better to handle for her.

28 Graden vandaag, een hete dag maar met soms ook wind en daarvoor moesten we de pups even afschermen.
Nagels zijn weer geknipt daar waar ze te lang waren.
Luc en Sem waren met opa en oma ook even op bezoek en werden grondig geinspecteerd door de pups.
's Avonds kwamen Maike & Patricia en Sabine & Freddy ook nog even puppy-vitamientjes opsnuiven.
28 Degrees today, a hot day but sometimes with a lot of wind so we protected the puppy's from this.
Nails were clipped again when they are to long.
Luc and Sem came to visit us with grandpa and grandma and the puppy's inspected them thorough.
In the evening Maike & Patricia and Sabine & Frreddy came to inhale a lot of puppy-vitamines.

Vandaag natuurlijk veel buiten geweest, het was ook prachtig weer, zo'n 25 graden.
Netjes eten moeten ze wel nog leren, er is ook een filmpje van op YouTube.
Vanavond hebben we de puppyren binnen opgezet nadat hij goed schoon was gemaakt.
Jack was er om ons te helpen want dat is een heel gesjouw!
Today they went outside a lot, the weather was beautiful, about 25 degrees.
Eating properly is something they have to learn, you can see that on YouTube.
Tonight we placed the puppy-run in the livingroom after a good clean.
Jack was there to help us because it's a lot of work!

Aan het einde van de avond hebben ze ook nog yoghurt gehad voor de eerste keer.
Nou, wat een smeerboel!! Maar oh zo lekker!!
At the end of the day we gave them also some yoghurt fotr the first time.
Well, it was a big mess!! But oh so tasty!!

Vanochtend eerst de puppyren voor buiten opgehaald en in elkaar gezet.
De pups mochten daarna naar buiten en ze vonden het reuze spannend!
Met de buik over de grond en luid protesterend kropen ze rond tot ze uiteindelijk moe waren en in slaap vielen...
Amon hield vanaf een afstandje een oogje in het zeil.
Vanavond weer naar buiten en nu was er geen protest meer van de pups, nu was het Djazzmin....
Ze vond het echt niks dat de pups in het puppyhuisje gingen en dacht: daar pas ik ook in!!!
Vannacht wordt het laatste nachtje in de werpkist, morgen staat ook binnen een puppyren.
This morning we collected the puppy-run and we assembled it.
The puppy's now could go outside and they found it very exiting!
With their tommy at the ground en loud protest they crawl around until they were tired and fell asleep....
Amon watched them from a distance.
Tonight they went outside again, no more protesting from the puppy's, now it was Djazzmin...
She did not like it that the puppy's went into the puppyhouse and thought: I will fit in this little house too!!!
This night will be the last night in the box, tomorrow there will be a puppy-run inside too.

Met de speeltjes spelen is ook weer nieuw en spannend!
De hoeveelheid eten wordt steeds meer... gisteren nog 1 hele beker per keer, vanmiddag 1,5.
Djazzmin ziet dat er voor haar weinig restjes overblijven maar zijzelf zorgt voor het toetje.
Tijdens het toetje krijgt ze zelf geitenmelk te drinken, heel goed voor een zogende moeder.
Marianne en Roger zijn ook weer geweest en hebben lang met ze geknuffeld.
Playing with the toys is a new thing and an exiting thing!
The amount of food is getting more and more.... yesterday 1 bowl a meal, this afternoon 1,5.
There is not much left over for Djazzmin but she is the dessert herself.
During this dessert she drinks lovely goatmilk, very good for a nursing mum.
Marianne and Roger came also to visit us and had a long cuddle with the puppy's.

Vanochtend hebben ze nog uit 1 ring gegeten maar het werd krap...
Vanavond dus twee ringen gebruikt en dat inderdaad een stuk makkelijker.
De familie van Balen kwam ook even langs om te knuffelen.
Zij zijn de eigenaars van Bix en kunnen zich het hele ritueel, ruim een jaar geleden, nog goed herinneren.
This morning they ate out of one foodring but is was a little bit to narrow...
This evening we used two foodrings and they had a lot of space now.
The Van Balen family came to visite us for a puppycuddle.
They are the owners of Bix and they can remember the whole ritual, from about a year ago, very well.

Regelmatig loopt alles met elkaar te spelen óf met de nieuwe speeltjes, dat is ook even eng hoor in het begin.
Terwijl Chris en Yvonne bij de puppy's zaten, zat er op de schuur een grote reiger,
(jachthond) Amon lag eronder in de zon te slapen...
Ik, Nicole, heb nog even nagebabbeld met een pupje en Renaldo en Michelle kwamen ook knuffelen.
Now and then they playing with each other or their new toys. In the beginning that's scary too.
While Chris and Yvonne were sitting at the puppy's, there was a big grey heron at our barn,
(gundog) Amon was sleeping under it in the sun...
I, Nicole, had a chat afterwards with a puppy and Renaldo and Michelle came also to cuddle the puppy's.

Vandaag was Coen's eerste werkdag, zijn drie en een halve week 'vakantie' zit erop... Nicole is nu aan de beurt dus!
Er was een brutaal puppy dat mams brokken ging én mocht aflikken.
Ronan kwam even puppyknuffelen en ook Lotte en Tom.
Maar ook Wigle en Godfried kwamen oefenen, zij krijgen een puppy van een halfbroer van Djazzmin.
De familie Thijssen kwamen ook weer voor een weekje puppyvitaminen halen en het kan hun niet snel gegnoeg gaan.
Via e-mail ontvingen we een mooie fotocollage van de familie de Jongh. Die zie je bij 14 april 2011.
Today it was Coen's first day of work, his three and a half weeks 'holiday' is over.... Now it's Nicole's turn!
There was a very brutal puppy smelling ánd licking mums food.
Ronan came cuddling the puppy's and also Lotte and Tom did.
Even Wigle and Godfried came rehearsing, they are going to get a puppy from a halfbrother of Djazzmin.
The Thijssen family came to collect a week-supply of puppyvitamines because it's not going fast enough for them.

Vandaag zijn ze voor de eerste maal ontwormt.
Nadat een puppy eerst gewogen is wordt een spuitje klaargemaakt met de juiste
hoeveelheid vloeistof . In het begin slikken ze het gewoon door, daarna denken ze: bah wat vies...
... en gaat het bekkie dicht! Nog even de nagels gecontroleerd en weer klaar voor vandaag!
Vanavond krijgen ze nog de tweede keer brokkenpap.

Today we have dewormed the puppy´s for the first time.
After a puppy was weighed we preprared a syringe with the right amount of deworming fluid.
In the beginning they drink it but in a short while they think: oh that´s nasty...
... and they close their mouth! Checked and clipped some nails again en we´re ready for today!
Tonight they will be having a second time puppyporridge.

Djazzmin krijgt geen tijd om te gaan liggen, elke keer nemen de pups
een sprintje richting mams als ze de werpkist in komt lopen...
Het is echt heerlijk om een puppy te knuffelelen, ze reageren ook echt op je,
ze doen heerlijk hun hoofdje tegen je aan.
Er wordt ook al met elkaar gestoeid en aan elkaar gelikt.
Het eten was weer één groot feest en ook werd nog even de huiskamer verkend.
Djazzmin has no time te lay down, every time the puppy's put on
a spurt towards mum when she entered the box...
It's really marvelous to cuddle a puppy, they react to you,
and put their head to yours.
They also play with each other and start licking.
Diner was again one big party en they also explored the livingroom for a short while.

    

    

    

    

    

We kregen nog een mooie collage toegestuurd van de familie de Jongh,
die bij het eerste diner van de pups aanwezig waren.

13 April 2011  Dag 17    April 13th 2011  Day 17
Amon en Djazzmin vonden het heerlijk onder de veranda samen op de ligstoel!
Vanavond hebben de pups voor het eerst pap gegeten. Het recept: geweekte starter-brokjes met vlees.
Eerst was het een beetje vreemd en lieten we ze van onze vingers likken totdat...
... ze het in de gaten hadden! Daarna lagen ze met z'n allen lang uit te buiken!
Amon and Djazzmin loved to lay down together on the reclining chair under the porch!
This evening the puppy's did eat their first porridge. Recipe: soaked starter-bits with meat.
At first it was a bit strange and they licked our fingers untill...
... they got the wind of how to eat it! Afterwards they were fully fat and fell asleep!

Eén mandje werd te klein dus dan maar twee mandjes maar daar klimmen ze uit...
Ze lopen al aardig, vallen wel af en toe om en het hoofd is wat zwaar.
Vandaag voor het eerst een randje kranten in de kist en er wordt al gebruik van gemaakt!
One basket got too small so we decided to put them in two baskets but they climb out...
They're walking quiet well but sometimes they fall down and the head is still a little bit heavy.
Today for the first time we put some newspapers in the box and they are using it!

Ze liggen graag in allerlei standjes, het ziet er niet makkelijk uit maar het slaapt heerlijk!
Paula is met een vriendin langs geweest en had een grote handdoek meegenomen.
Daar hebben de pups een tijdje op gelegen. Hun weimaraner, genaamd Prima,
is kort geleden haar moeder verloren en ze is erg eenzaam. Van de geur van de pups vrolijkt ze helemaal op!
They lay down in all different kind of positions, looks not easy but sleeps very well!
Paula came by with a friend and they brought a big towel with them.
The puppy's layed down on the towel for a while. Their weimaraner, named Prima,
has lost her mother shortly and is very lonely. She becomes very happy of the smell of the puppy's!

Ashley en Audrey zaten heerlijk te knuffelen en Djazzmin gebruikte Audrey's benen als kussentje.
Pa Dave zat op de bank met een puppy F1 op tv te kijken terwijl Amon erbij waakte.
Chris en Yvonne zullen de puppy's missen als ze op vakantie zijn
en Martijn en Indra staan op de wachtlijst voor een volgende keer, hun huisje is nu klaar.
We hebben ze weer gewogen en één voor één gefotografeerd.
Ashley and Audrey were cuddling the puppy's and Djazzmin was using Audrey's legs as a pillow.
Dad Dave sat at the settee with a puppy looking the F1 on tv with the watchful Amon on his leg.
Chris and Yvonne will miss the puppy's while they are away for holiday
and Martijn and Indra are on the waitinglist for next litter, their house is ready now.

Coen was vandaag naar de fokkersdag van de WSH dat vooral ging over erfelijkheid, interessant dus.
Luuk vond de pups erg klein, Mijs had er geen probleem mee en vond het heel erg leuk.
Deidre liet John een pupje van dichtbij zien maar John aait liever Amon.
Saskia was helemaal in de wolken van de puppy's maar onze Amon heeft er ook zeker een vriendin bij!
Coen went to a information-day about breeding (genetics) arranged by the Dutch Weimaraner Association.
Luuk didn't like the puppy's, they're too small, Mijs had no problems with them and she liked the small ones very much.
Deidre showed John a puppy but John rather gives Amon a cuddle.
Saskia was in heaven because of the puppy's but she also liked Amon very much and they are big friends!

Een rustig dagje en Djazzmin is nog steeds erg blij dat ze weer mee naar het bos mag!
Blijft elke keer weer een wonder die blauwe ogen!
En ze knuffelen wat af met mekaar... zie hier.
A quiet day and Djazzmin is still happy that she has a run in the woods again every day!
Every time it's a miracle those blue eyes!

Bijna alle oogjes zijn open en ook de oortjes zien we veranderen.
Djazzmin heeft bedacht dat ze zelf ook wel in het puppymandje past.
Djazzmin kan echt niet langer thuisblijven, ze gilde alles bij elkaar...dus mocht ze mee naar het bos!
Just, Pien en Kars zijn ook op puppybezoek geweest. Zij hebben een dochter van Cherry, genaamd Saar.
Almost all the eyes are open and the ears are changing too.
Djazzmin thought that she would fit too in the puppybasket.
We couldn´t let Djazzmin at home anymore, she screamed a lot... so she had her first walk in the woods!
Just, Pien and Kars gave us a puppyvisit. They have a daughter of Cherry, named Saar.

Af en toe poepen de puppy's al uit zichzelf. Djazzmin ruimt het netjes zelf op of we helpen een handje.
Het was heerlijk weer buiten en terwijl het gras gemaaid werd lagen Cherry en Djazzmin in de zon.
Er is weer heel veel geknuffeld vandaag!
Now and then there are puppy's who already do a pooh. Djazzmin cleans it very well or we give her a hand.
The weather was wonderful outside and while we cut the grass Cherry and Djazzmin layed down in the sun.
There was again a lot of cuddling today!

Er beginnen al een paar oogjes te kieren, één puppy heeft zelfs één oog helemaal open!
Cherry komt af en toe controleren wat alle nieuwe baasjes met de puppy's uitspoken...
Ze vinden het heerlijk om in iemands armen in slaap te vallen...
A few eyes are starting to open, there is even one puppy with her eye fully opened!
Sometimes Cherry comes to check what all new owners are doing with the puppy's...
They love fo fall asleep in someone's arms...

Frits, Loes en haar zoontje Siem van 7 maanden zijn op puppybezoek geweest.
Siem vond het erg leuk in de werpkist en was erg lief voor de pupjes.
Frits, Loes and her 7 months old son Siem visited us and the puppy's.
Siem did like the whelpingbox and was very sweet for the little puppy's.

Leuke dag met veel bezoek!
Djazzmin genoot van de aandacht en liet trots haar kroost knuffelen.
Ook Amon en Cherry kwamen geen aandacht tekort!
De eerste week zit er op. De pupjes groeien als kool.
Iedereen bedankt voor alle lekkere en leuke kadootjes!
Patricia en Maike hadden zelfs voor ALLE negen pupjes een kadootje!
Lovely day with a lot of visitors!
Djazzmin enjoyed the attention and proudly showed her puppy's.
Even Amon and Cherry did get enough attention!
This was the first week. The puppy's are growing very fast.
We want to thank everyone for al the tasty and lovely gifts!

Elke dag, als de zon schijnt, hangen we de vlag uit!
Van een paar pupjes zijn vandaag al de nageltjes geknipt.
Bianca en JW kwamen ook langs, JW had speciale sokken aangetrokken...
Het grut van Djazzmin groeit en groeit, het mandje wordt steeds voller!
Every day, if the sun is shining, we put out the flag!
We clipped the nails of a few puppy's today.
Bianca and JW came by, JW was wearing special socks today...
The young fry of Djazzmin grows and grows, the basket is getting fuller!

Af en toe vindt Amon het echt veel te warm in de huiskamer (23 graden) en ligt hij graag even buiten.
Djazzmin vindt het ook lekker om af en toe op de iets koudere vloer te liggen
dan in de werpkist op haar eigen vloerverwarming.
Niels, Sophie en Sam vonden de puppy's ook erg lief en de puppy's hun ook!
Het ligt er tevreden bij. Nadat het bezoek weg was moest Djazzmin even haar behoefte doen in de tuin.
Coen liet haar los en binnen een minuut zat ze weer met haar poten in het gat dat ze voor de bevalling gegraven had...

Now and then Amon goes outside in the garden because of the temperature in the livingroom (23 degrees).
Djazzmin thinks it's nice and cool at the floor, the welpingbox is much hotter because of the floorheating.
Niels, Sophie and Sam think the puppy's are very sweet but the puppy's think the kids are too!
Every puppy is very satisfied. After the visitors went home Djazzmin went to the garden to urinate.
Coen had her not on the lead and within a minute she went back to the big hole she digged before she was in labor.

Een rustig dagje vandaag. Vanavond zijn Kevin en Miranda, eigenaren van Ziva, op puppybezoek geweest.
We kijken de hele dag live naar onze eigen docusoap!
Je kunt je ogen er niet vanaf houden als ze in steeds andere standjes drinken of slapen.
Djazzmin is graag bij haar kroost maar als Coen naar het bos gaat met Amon en Cherry is ze toch niet helemaal blij...
... en staat ze door het raam te kijken waar de auto naar toe gaat. Ze moet nog anderhalve week wachten!
A quiet day today. Tonight Kevin and Miranda, owners of Ziva, came to visite the puppy's.
We are watching all day long to our own docusoap!
You can't keep your eyes of how they change position every time while they're drinking or sleeping.
Djazzmin loves to be with her offspring but when Coen goes to the woods with Amon and Cherry she is not happy....
... and stands in front off the window and watches the car driving away. She has to wait for just 1,5 weeks!

Een aantal nieuwe baasjes zijn op puppybezoek geweest. De puppytaart en de
beschuit met muisjes (hoe ga ik dat nu vertalen in het engels...) gingen er goed in.
De handen gewassen met Dettol handzeep, een handdoek op de schoot en dan knuffelen!
Djazzmin vindt het prima als ze zelf ook af en toe een aaitje of een kluifje knuffel.
We had a couple of new owners who payed us a visit. They liked the puppycake and the
Dutch rusk with butter and sugar-aniseed grains (we eat them when a baby is born and call them 'rusk with mice').
Hands washed with Dettol handsoap, a clean towel on the lap and you can give them a cuddle!
Djazzmin is allright with that if she gets a cuddle too and a biscuit now and then.
Amon, who lied at the settie, was not forgotten by Marije and he got a cuddle too.

Het puppybezoek geniet van de kleine grijze schatjes.
De puppy's genieten ook van het heerlijke aaien.
Vriendin Marieke kwam met Bram en Babet op puppybezoek.
Zij hebben samen de wereldberoemde puppytaart gebakken!
The puppy visit enjoy's the little grey darlings.
The puppy's like the lovely stroking.
Friend Marieke came with Bram and Babet to visit the puppy's.
They baked the world-famous puppycake for us!

Vanmiddag is de dierenarts geweest die Djazzmin goed onderzocht heeft.
Ze voelt niks meer in de baarmoederhoorns en Djazz is in goede conditie.
De pups zijn ook OK, zuigen goed allemaal strakke staartjes.
Alle nieuwe eigenaren zijn gebeld en in opperste stemming, wij ook.
The vet came in the afternoon to check Djazzmin after delivery.
She felt nothing in the womb and Djazzmin is in a good condition.
The puppy's are OK too, they suck good and all the tails are straight.
All the new owners are contacted and they are very happy, we too!

Om half vier vanochtend is het laatste pupje geboren.
Het zijn er 9 in totaal, 2 reutjes en 7 teefjes.
At half past three this morning the last puppy has born.
We now have 2 dogs and 7 bitches.

Het is 23.00 uur en het eerste pupje is geboren, het is een meisje van 490 gram!
It's 23.00 o'clock and the first puppy is born, it's a girl and her weight is 490gram!

Djazzmin was erg onrustig voor de bevalling... ze wilde echt haar eigen nest graven...
De plant werd in vele stukken gescheurd en een diepe kuil werd gegraven
totdat ze met een zucht kon gaan liggen en er klaar voor was!
Djazzmin was very restless before delivery... she realy wanted to make her own nest...
The plant was teared to pieces and a deep hole was digged
till she finaly could lie down with a sigh and was ready to give birth!
