Djazzmin heeft goed geslapen vannacht en stopte met hijgen...
Zou dus best nog wel een dag of zo kunnen duren...
Djazzmin has had a very good night and stopt panting...
Maybe it will take a day or so before whelping...

Djazzmin is erg onrustig voor de bevalling... ze wil dan echt haar eigen nest graven...
De plant wordt in vele stukken gescheurd en een diepe kuil word gegraven
totdat ze met een zucht kan gaan liggen en er klaar voor is!

Djazzmin is very restless before delivery... she really want to make her own nest...
The plant is teared to pieces and a deep hole is digged
till she finally can lie down with a sigh and is ready to give birth!

Djazmzin heeft nestdrang maar na wat gegraaf in de tuin en de houtblokken aan de kant geduwt
ging ze toch maar weer binnen in de bench liggen...
Djazzmin was ensconding herself under the fireplacein the garden, putting logs aside and went
inside to her crate and lied down...

Af en toe gaat Djazzmin alvast in de werpkist liggen slapen.
En wij zijn ook klaar voor de bevalling aan de tafel te zien!
Now en then Djazzmin is having a nap in the whelpingbox.

We zijn er klaar voor! Alles is schoon en de werpkist staat klaar.
Samen met Jack en Jacqueline hebben we alles weer gecontroleerd en ontsmet.
De dames lagen heerlijk buiten te chillen, van links naar rechts: Fawlty, Djazzmin en Cherry.
In de kamer kijkt Djazzmin toe hoe alles wordt klaargezet en gaat meteen op het schone zeil liggen.
Henny en Else-Marie zijn ook nog even wezen kijken, zij willen ook graag een pupje.
We are ready! Everything is clean and the whelpingbox stands in the livingroom.
Together with Jack and Jacqueline we checked everything again and desinfect.
The ladys were outside chilling, from left to right: Fawlty, Djazzmin and Cherry.
In the livingroom Djazzmin watches us how everything is set on the table and lies down on the clean floor..
Henny and Else-Marie came by to watch what we were doing, they want a puppy too.

Djazzmin doet het echt zelf rustiger aan.
Maar graven met halfzus Cherry is toch wel heel erg leuk!
Daarna zien we er niet meer zo netjes uit maar dat spoelen we in een sloot wel even af...
UIT de sloot komen is dan weer wat lastiger....
Djazzmin does things slower these days.
But digging in holes with her halfsister Cherry is having fun!
After digging, we don´t look that smart anymore but it will be washed off in the water...
Coming OUT of the water was a little bit heavier.

Djazzmin is nu zeven weken zwanger.
En ineens is daar het verschil na week 6...
Ze is erg zwaar aan het worden en als ze zit hangt haar buik op de grond.
Maandag gaan we de werpkist opzetten en dan begint het aftellen echt.
Als ze in de auto mee mag voor haar wandelingen gaat ze keurig over de loopplank.
Djazzmin is now seven weeks pregnant.
And suddenly there is the difference after week 6...
She became much more heavy and when she sits her belly hangs on the ground.
Monday we will be placing the whelpingbox in the livingroom and the countdown will start.
If she goes with us in the van for a walk she has to use the gangway.

Djazzmin ligt graag languit en niet meer op een rolletje...
Met veel gekreun rekt ze zich dan uit en je hoort haar denken:
... zo, dat ligt lekkerder...
Djazmzin lies down at full length at the moment and not in a roll anymore...
With a lot of moaning she stretches herself and you can hear her thinking:

Buiten even controleren of mijn plekje om te bevallen over 3,5 weken nog OK is...
En wat doe je als je honger hebt? Misschien ligt er nog wat in de gootsteen?
Ja, en dan zie je die hangende buik nóg beter.
Ik mag niet graven, niet stelen... dan maar in de mand!
Outside checking my corner in the garden if it's OK for giving birth in 3,5 weeks...
And what if you are hungry all the time? Maybe there is something left in the kitchensink?
Yes, and than you can see the belly hanging.
I am not allowed to dig, not stealing food... I will be in my basket!

Djazzmin heeft honger... heel veel honger...
De puppymelk is al binnen, en ook al de starter en junior-brokjes voor pups.
En langzaam begint zich weer een magazijntje in de hal te vormen...
Djazmzin is hungry.... very very hungry...
The puppymilk has arrived, even the starter and the junior for the puppys.
And slowly we are making a warehouse in the hallway...

Ja, Djazzmin is drachtig! We hebben zelfs een hartje zien kloppen.
Hoeveel? Dat weten we natuurlijk pas rond 9 mei!!
Ook haar buikje begint nu echt wel dikker te worden.
Het beste kun je het zien daar waar ik het rood gearceerd heb.
Als je dat vergelijkt met de foto's van een paar weken geleden dan zie je echt verschil.
Yes, Djazzmin is pregnant! We even saw a little heart beating.
How many? We know that exactly around May 9th!!
Also her belly is really growing bigger.
You can see that clearly there were I put the red shading in the picture.
If you compare that with the pictures we took a few weeks ago, you'll see the difference.

En plotseling is het heerlijk zonnig weer! Na een lange middagwandeling
moesten er toch nog de wekelijkse foto´s gemaakt worden, maar daarna ging iederen weer slapen.
Djazzmin is vandaag wel wat misselijk geweest en gedraagt zich ook rustiger buiten...
And all of a sudden the weather is beautifull! After a long afternoonwalk
we took the weekly pictures, but after that they all went to sleep again.
Djazzmin has been a little bit nausea today and her behavoir is more calm outside...

Is Djazzmin 1 week zwanger? Dat weten we natuurlijk nog niet!
Zien kun je het ook nog niet hoor! De bevruchte eicellen zwemmen nog steeds rond en
gaan zich pas rond de 17e dag na de bevruchting innestelen.
Dit is een leuk filmpje van een honden foetus.
Will Djazzmin be 1 week pregnant? We don't know that offcourse!
You can't see it either! The fertilized egg-cells are still swimming around and
they will be nesting about 17 days after fertilizing the egg-cells.

Elliot was moe na hun tweede date... op de achtergrond zie je al zijn knuffelberen.
Djazzmin had het ook wel weer gehad en heeft heerlijk een paar uren in de auto liggen slapen.
5 April zullen we een echo laten maken en dan kunnen we zien of ze zwanger is.
Elliot was very tired after their second date... on the background you'll see his teddybears.
Djazzmin was very tired too and had a few hours sleep in the back of the car.
April 5th we'll have an ultra-sound scan so we can see if she is really pregnant.

Om het wat spannend te houden liepen we een paar keer weg met Djazzmin...

Progesteronlevel is 8,84! Vannacht gaan we naar Engeland met Djazzmin.

De dierenarts heeft wederom bloed afgenomen voor het progesterononderzoek.
De uitslag hiervan komt weer morgenochtend. Waarschijnlijk gaan we zondag of maandag weer prikken.
The vet took again a sample of her blood for the level of her progestrone.
Testresult will be there tomorrowmorning. Probably we´ll go back to the vet on Sunday of Monday.

De baarmoeder zag er schoon uit en de dierenarts heeft bloed afgenomen voor het progesterononderzoek.
De uitslag hiervan komt helaas pas morgenochtend. Waarschijnlijk gaan we vrijdag weer prikken.
The womb did look very clean and the vet took a sample of her blood for the level of her progestrone.
We will be having the result tomorrowmorning. Probably we´ll go back to the vet on Friday.

Djazzmin is loops!! Dinsdag 28 februari zullen we naar de dierenarts gaan voor
het inwendig onderzoek van de baarmoeder en de eerste progesteronbepaling.
Djazzmin is in season!! Tuesday February 28th we will go to the vet for
an internal examination of the womb en we will check her progesterone for the first time.

De dekreu   The stud
Elliot zal Djazzmin's dekreu worden.
Zijn stamboomnaam is: Gunalt Unstoppable From Mianja.
We hebben al eerder een nestje van Elliot en weten dus wat hij waard is.
Elliot will be Djazzmin's stud.
His pedigreename is: Gunalt Unstoppable From Mianja.
We already have had a litter from him so we know what he does.

Vandaag hadden we bezoek dat geinteresseerd is in een weimaraner.
We zijn met hen naar het bos gegaan en de honden hebben met de kinderen gespeeld.
Dit is hoe wij het doen, mensen moeten naar ons huis komen om kennis te maken
voordat ze eventueel een hond van ons kunnen krijgen.
Wij willen hun persoonlijk leren kennen en zij moeten ook ons EN de honden leren kennen.
Today we had visitors who are interested in a weimaraner.
We went with them to the woods and the dogs played with the kids.
This is how we do it, people has to come to our house before they can have a dog from us.
We want to know them and they must know us AND the dogs too.
